Gluten Free Pork Chops With Caramelized Onions Recipe


INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 pork chops
  • salt and pepper
  • ½ stick butter plus 3 tablespoons
  • 3 medium onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Season pork with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a large cast iron skillet to medium high. Add the ½ stick butter and let it melt.
  3. Add the pork chops and cook about 4 minutes on each side. Transfer the pork to a plate. Discard the butter and wipe the skillet clean.
  4. Return the skillet and add 3 tablespoons of butter. Add the onions and slowly cook for about 15 minutes then add the garlic and cook for another 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Return the pork and let it cook for 2 minutes or until pork reaches 160 degrees f. Serve
