INGREDIENTS:
- 1 whole bangus, cleaned and scaled - slice into 4
- 4 C. rice washing
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 tomatoes, cut into quarters
- 12 pcs. guava
- 2-3 T fish sauce
- puso ng saging (soaked in water with kalamansi juice to prevent discoloration)
- kang kong leaves
- jalapeno pepper
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Let the rice washing boil, then add the tomatoes, onions and guava. When soft, mash the tomatoes and guava with the back of a spoon. Strain.
- Let the stock boil again and add the puso ng saging, fish and fish sauce. Cook covered for 15 minutes over low flame.
- Add the kangkong leaves in the last minute of cooking.
