Vegetarian Chop Suey (Filipino Style) Recipe




INGREDIENTS:
  • 7.50 ounces baby corn
  • 9 ounces French beans
  • 2 medium carrot
  • 0.50 head cabbage
  • 1 small chayotes
  • 4 ounces mangetout
  • 1 small heads cauliflower
  • 1 small head broccoli
  • 1 green bell peppers
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 3 garlic clove
  • 1 onions
  • 2 teaspoons canola oil
  • 2 teaspoons chicken-flavored vegetarian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 0.50 cup soymilk
  • 0.50 cup milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 to taste salt
  • 1 to taste pepper
Vegetarian Chop Suey (Filipino Style) Recipe


INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. In a wok or large pan heat oil, garlic, and onion until golden brown.
  2. Add all vegetables except the cabbage.
  3. Stir and cook for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Mix in the chicken flavored seasoning.
  5. In a small bowl disolve the cornstarch in the water. Add the water & cornstarch, and the soymilk or milk to the vegetables.
  6. Mix in the salt and pepper and then the cabbage.
  7. Cook until the cabbage is done (maybe 3 minutes) and eat hot with a side of rice.
