Ginataang Tilapia Recipe



Ginataang Tilapia

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 kg tilapia 
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced 
  • 1 knob ginger, julienne 
  • 1 onion, finely sliced 
  • 1 tbsp bagoong (shrimp paste) 
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce 
  • 3 cups coconut cream 
  • 1-2 banana peppers 
  • 1 cup spinach or mustard leaves 
  • cooking oil

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Saute garlic, ginger and onion 
  2. Add shrimp paste and fish sauce 
  3. Pour coconut cream, stir 
  4. Add banana peppers, simmer for 5 mins 
  5. Add tilapia, lower heat and simmer for 7 to 10 mins or until fish is cooked
  6. Add spinach/mustard leaves, simmer for another minute and serve
