Ginataang Langka


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pound unripe jackfruit ( you can buy from supermarkets: peeled, seeded and sliced)
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1/2 pound pork
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 green chili finger
  • 1 tablespoon bagoong
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt to taste(just add to your taste preference)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black ground pepper
  • 1 red siling labuyo (Thai chili) , seeded and chopped (optional)

PROCEDURE:

  1. Saute garlic and onion until it browned in a wok over medium high heat.
  2. Add the pork, continuously stirring the mixture until cook.
  3. Add the unripe jackfruit, salt, bagoong, black ground pepper, coconut milk and chili finger.
  4. Lower heat to medium and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until unripe jackfruit totally cook and the liquid almost dries up.
