Pan Fried Steak Recipe

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Rinse your beef filets in water and then season. The best way to get your beef to pick up the most flavor is to leave it seasoned and refrigerate overnight and cook it the next day. If you have time do that, but in todays world most times we don't have time to do that. So If you can't, thats fine. Just season and follow the next steps below.
  2. In a frying pan pour your oil and set fire to medium low heat, once the oil is hot, place your beef in two or three at a time. Cook for about 4-5 min on each side depending on the thickness of the beef. Cook until you notice that it is cooked all the way through and the outside is golden. If your outside is starting to get too dark and yet the inside is still raw, you will need to lower your heat and perhaps add about 1 - 2 tbsp of water to allow the steam to help cook the inside of your beef.
  3. You will know when it is cooked all the way through by sticking a fork or a knife in the center, if a little blood oozes out it is still raw or if you slightly cut it open with a knife and notice it is still pink, you need to leave it in just a little longer. ( Be careful not to overcook or you will get tough, chewy beef.) Keep attentive to check the exact moment when it is time to remove your steak from the fire.
  4. Once fully cooked on both sides. Remove your beef and Add your onion to the pan and about 2 tbsp water and cook for about 2 minutes or until the onions begin to get golden. Spoon over your beef to add flavor and serve. Goes great with anything really. Great sides to go with this dish is mashed potatoes, rice, beans, roasted potatoes etc.
