Puto Pao Recipe


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 pork
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 tbsp corn starch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce

Puto Pao Recipe

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Heat a wok in medium fire and add some cooking oil.
  2. Sauté the garlic, onion and pork.
  3. Add the oyster sauce and brown sugar.
  4. Simmer for 2 -3 minutes.
  5. Add in the salt and pepper.
  6. Dissolve the corn starch in 1/4 cups of water.
  7. Add in the pan and stir.
  8. Turn off the heat and set aside.
  9. Combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, butter and milk.
  10. Gradually add the water and mix at the same time.
  11. Prepare the molders and wax with melted butter.
  12. Pour about 1/4 batter mixture on the molders.
  13. Add the sautéd meat.
  14. Add some more batter on top to cover.
  15. Top with cheese or salted egg.
  16. Steam for 10 - 15 minutes.
  17. Serve
