INGREDIENTS:
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup brown rice, cooked
- 1 tsp Thyme
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
- 8 large cabbage leaves, washed and dried
- 2 cans (8 ounce) tomato sauce
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1 tsp onion powder
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Boil the cabbage leaves in a large pot for 5 minutes, set aside to dry
- Combine all ingredients, except cabbage leaves, in a large bowl
- Evenly divide the meat mixture between the 8 cabbage leaves
- Tightly roll the cabbage leaves and set seam side down
- Combine all ingredients in a large skillet at medium/low heat
- Add the cabbage rolls
- Cover and allow to simmer for 1 hour
- Serve cabbage rolls with sauce
