Stuffed Cabbage Recipe



INGREDIENTS:

For the Cabbage Rolls
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup brown rice, cooked
  • 1 tsp Thyme
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 8 large cabbage leaves, washed and dried
For the Sauce
  • 2 cans (8 ounce) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp onion powder

INSTRUCTIONS:

For the Cabbage Rolls
  1. Boil the cabbage leaves in a large pot for 5 minutes, set aside to dry
  2. Combine all ingredients, except cabbage leaves, in a large bowl
  3. Evenly divide the meat mixture between the 8 cabbage leaves
  4. Tightly roll the cabbage leaves and set seam side down
For the Sauce
  1. Combine all ingredients in a large skillet at medium/low heat
  2. Add the cabbage rolls
  3. Cover and allow to simmer for 1 hour
  4. Serve cabbage rolls with sauce
