Cheesy Vegetable Triangles Recipe





INGREDIENTS:

  • 8 oz (200 g) Sweet ham, chopped
  • 8 oz (200 g) Cheddar cheese chopped into small cubes
  • 1 lg red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 lg Carrot, chopped into small cubes
  • 8 ox (200g) Potatoes, pealed and chopped into small cubes
  • Dried oregano
  • oil for deep frying
  • 15 flour wrappers (lumpia wrapper, wanton wrappers, or dumpling wrapper 4.5 X 4.5 is ideal
  • Salt & Pepper


Cheesy Vegetable Triangles Recipe

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Steam carrots & Potatoes for 2 min
  2. place garlic & onions in a frying pan until fragrant
  3. Add the chopped ham and fry 1 min
  4. Add the vegetables and cook for 3 more min
  5. Sprinkle some oregano and season with salt & pepper to taste
  6. Move the mixture into a colander & let sit 5 min or until the oil is drained
  7. Mix in the cheese
  8. cut the wrapper into 2 equal size rectangles
  9. Spoon the mixture into the wrapper & fold into triangle (this takes a little practice)
  10. Deep fry until golden brown
  11. Place the triangles onto a serving dish and garnish with fresh parsley & tomato slices
  12. To get rid of excess oil place layers of kitchen paper onto a dish (paper towels will work) and let the triangles drain before serving.
